As a pastor, I tend to keep an eye out for news concerning fellow ministers and today I noticed this headline in the local propaganda rag Anglican Priest Removed over Affair. Surprisingly the bishop removed this priest was removed for a heterosexual affair and I have to wonder how they can justify his removal. Really, they already officially reject the God's Law concerning homosexual sex, so why do they obey God's Law concerning heterosexual sex. I mean if one is evidence of a cultural mindset why not the other? Seems a little unfair don't you think?
The two-faced ECUSA aside, what this pastor did was a sin and should be treated as such and it is my hope that he will be led to repentance and forgiveness.
